A little Facelift

First- In case you didnt notice, I gave my website a little facelift.

I added a tab that says 13 goals in 2013. Cant remember if I mentioned it before, but I belong to a group on FB called 2 miles a day in 2012. Basically it is a group that motivates to get you moving. I have met a TON of great people on that board. BUT because 2012 is ending, we will be opening up a new board called Get Lucky...13 goals in 2013. So I added my goals to my website to help keep me accountable. Also if you are on FB and want to join the group, let me know!!

I also took off my old "current photos". Because I gained weight back after the tornado, I chose to do a reset. So I posted photos from Nov 15th. They were taken right after my first work out with Eric. My weight that day was 183.0. I will take more pictures Dec 15th. My goal is to do new photos once a month.

I also added a tab called Weigh In's. I am hoping this will help keep me accountable especially during the weekends so I dont need to add higher numbers to that page. You can see where the holiday weekend was last week. I was down to 177.5 and then come Monday I was back into the 180's. That HAS to stop. I know it was because there was a lot of deep fried food and non clean food. General Tso's chicken, Buffalo Wild Wings, Spinach Dip, bread...LOL. I also marked on there when I started the Healthe Trim. I just think that is fun to see how well that it helps.

Onto a recap of last night and today. Last nights workout was awesome. I ran 4 miles and then did RPM. Eric warned me Wednesday night that Thursdays workout would be hard. And he wasnt kidding! This is the first time in RPM that my heart rate was consistently at the high end or OVER the range of where it should be.  I was going to do some ab work after RPM but I was completely gone and done. In less than two hours (running and RPM) I burned a whopping 1230 calories! AWESOME!

I also stayed on track and wrote down everything I ate yesterday. I ate just about the same thing I did the day before with the exception of no turkey and spinach dip at lunch because we are out. I made up for it a little bit when I got home from working out because I had the rest of my tuna, which I had made the day before, and I had a 1/3 of a piece of pizza. So the minus of calories at lunch and the addition of calories at dinner probably equaled out to what I had eaten the day before.

That coupled with the massive amount of calories I burned, you are probably thinking that I lost 10 lbs yesterday right? LOL

Nope. Only lost 1 lb. And I "think" I know the reason.

Aunt Flo is trying to come for a visit and usually I retain water for the first couple days. Then after that I go back to normal. So for me, a 1 lb loss is a good thing.

And of course my favorite auntie would come for an appearance when I have a race to run tomorrow. It only figures.

Moving on...

Tonight is Zumba class. Because I have been running all week, I am going to switch my warm-up up a little bit tonight. I am going to do a 1 mile run hard and fast and then lift weights before more cardio with zumba. It seems like my body responds to the weight loss better when I do some weights as well. So this is a little bit of an experiment.

Also after Zumba comes ladies night! We are back on!

We are going to Aubree's again tonight. And I have a game plan. Aubree's has a special turkey burger that I am going to try. The description is this: Wood-fire 5oz. grilled turkey burger with creamy hummus, lettuce, tomatoes & red onion

Sounds delicious right?

And as my side I am going to forget the fries. Instead I am going to have some cottage cheese.

Now dont think I am all awesome because I will be eating all healthy. I am not. I will be allowing myself 2 pieces of feta bread.

And I do plan on asking for a to-go box right away and splitting my burger into 1/3.  I also plan on asking for double the veggies on it.

I figured out the calories and loosely I should have about 15 calories to spare for the day not including the calories I have burned from exercising. Here is what my food diary looks like for the day:

Breakfast (smoothie made with ice and water and ingredients below)
  • Banana 110 calories
  • Protein Powder 79 calories
Lunch:
  • Celery (2 stalks) 12 calories
  • Gala Apple 80 calories
  • Krema Peanut butter (2T) put into the cored apple 190 calories
Dinner: (here is where it gets a bit sticky with estimating calories. Aubree's doesnt have calorie counts on their website)
  • Feta Bread (2 pieces) estimated at 280 calories This was figured from Domino's spinach and feta bread calories. The bread I eat has no spinach and sizes of the bread might be a bit different.
  •  Turkey Burger (the whole thing is estimated at 324 calories including a whole wheat bun) I will only be eating a 1/3 of this but incase I dont, I figured the whole total calories. This also includes lettuce, tomato and a pickle. No pickle for me but onion)
  • Hummus 60 calories
  • Cottage Cheese 1% milk 100 calories for a half cup

Hopefully predetermining my calories will help me stay on track for the day. I know it seems that I am not eating much before dinner, but really that is all my body needs.

This gives me a total of 1235 calories eaten for the day IF I eat the entire burger. So a bit of leeway is good.

What are your plans for the weekend? How do you stay on track during the weekend?

A great workout!

I had an awesome workout last night.

I got a 3.5 mile run in (including the .4 mile cool down) that ranged from 5.8 mph, up to 6.5 mph with brief "rest walks" of 4.5 mph after running the 6.5. So my stamina is coming back. I was able to run for quite a few minutes straight of running 6.0 mph.

Then I worked out with Eric. He put me thru the paces really working my biceps and chest. We used machines and kettle bells. He had me doing alternating rows using 35 lb kettlebells!! Then he had me doing hammer curls using 10 lb kettlebells BUT I had to do them til my arms about fell off... I think I got to 50. He also had me doing reverse curls with an overhand grip to work my forearms. Oh baby are those hard!

We also did my core and worked my abs on a crunch machine at 40 lbs then did my lower body by doing scissor kicks. Oh how I hate scissor kicks!

Last night was the first night my abs were actually sore. And all that in 30 minutes.

Today my neck and shoulders are in knots. I really need to remember to stretch after weight lifting. I am going to have to do some stretching after the kids go to school. It is really hard because I cant massage my shoulders right now. And I itch like crazy. But more on that in a later post ;)

I then came home and made a can of tuna with a lot of celery and onion and a tablespoon of fat free mayo. I only ate maybe 1.4 to a 1/2 of it so I will still have some for after my workout tonight. I was originally going to eat a Larabar before working out but my iPod got me in a tizzy and I forgot. So I was completely on "E" by the time I got home from the gym.

I stayed on track completely with my eating yesterday. And I burned 888 calories last night at the gym.

Today I was rewarded with a 3 lb loss! Yesterday I was 179.0 and today weighed in at 176.0.

Getting closer to the 160's again. Finally!

Tonight I will run again...probably 4 miles or so because I need to sign up for class 45 minutes prior...then go to RPM. I am skipping Body Pump this week. I will also probably do some more ab work tonight with the same exercises I did last night and then add in a couple more.

Trying to stay successful thru the weekend. Seems like I always gain back what I lost and that gets really frustrating. I think it will help that I have my 5k run on Saturday evening. Plus I will be staying busy with making cookies for gifts this weekend too. And I really dont eat cookies when I bake them. I just have no desire. So that is a good thing too.

I would LOVE to be back in the 160's by the end of next week. We shall see though.

Thats the news for now.

Karate

Last night was Xaviers first Karate Class. I am hoping that he learns self discipline out of the class and it helps cut down on the teasing of his brother, the non-listening, the sassing, etc. Ya know- kid stuff. I also hope that it helps with his anger. I think since the tornado, he has had problems having an outlet for the confusion and feelings and it is manifesting itself as anger.

So far, it seems to be helping even with one class. This morning he got up, got dressed and then he went in and brushed his teeth without me asking him to. A good start I would say.

Then last night I got some Zumba in. Not as much as I would have liked but Aarons brother, grandma and mom were over to see Xavier in his first class. So I didnt start until after 8. That coupled with the fact that our water softener was having a meltdown and had gone into Error mode and was emitting a beep so we had to work on that, meant for an abbreviated time working out. Good news is that it looks like my husband is a genius and was able to correct the water softener issue. Hopefully it lasts.

I can tell my body is getting used to the Cardio Party CD because my heart rate isnt getting high with it like it used to. In one hour I only managed to burn 499 calories. Crazy for me to only burn that much.

Today I weighed in at 179.0. A half pound gain even though I stuck to my calorie count and diet yesterday. No worries though. Tonight is upper body with Eric and I plan on rocking it out. Plus I want to get in another 3-4 mile run before working out. So I am hoping tomorrow to be around 177 again. We shall see.

Well today looks like this is going to be short and sweet. That is all the news I have for now.

Stay tuned tomorrow for what Eric puts me thru tonight! LOL

Monday Legs

Well last night at the gym was a GREAT night!!

I got in a 4 mile run then worked legs and core with Eric. Lots of squats were involved and had the inside muscles of my legs SCREAMING by the end. This is good because I have lots of loose skin on the inside of my legs from the big weight loss.

We also did a 3 minute circuit of three ab exercises. 30 seconds of mountain climbers, 30 seconds of plank, 30 seconds of abs. Repeat.

We also did a kettlebell exercise that I really liked. You swing the kettlebell up, catch it, then squat. Repeat with explosive movements. We also did squats using one of the balance ball/board things. Reminds me of the pogoballs we had as kids.

Yesterdays weigh in was 181.0. Todays weigh in was 178.5. I also burned 961 calories at the gym last night.

Tonight we are taking Xavier for his first Karate lesson. Afterwards once the kids are in bed I will be doing some zumba and trying to write some new routines to my first CD I got in the mail. I am very excited because I love the music from this CD.

Wednesday night is another workout night with Eric. I am sure my legs will be REALLY sore by then because they usually have a two day lag time with pain and they are sore already. I plan on getting in another 4 miles (at least 5k) before upper body.

Thursday I will run again and then I am not sure if I will be doing Pump or not. But I will be doing RPM for sure.

Friday night is running and Zumba. Then it is girls night if the girls are interested.

Saturday is my 5k Holiday Hustle in the evening. Before that I will be spending my time making cookies for Christmas gifts. Actually that is how I will probably be spending my entire weekend. Baking. Last year I made 17 types of cookies. Crazy huh? This year I am going to pare that back because I am making something else for people as well.

So that is my week ahead. Do you have anything going on? Have holiday parties started for you yet?

Tip of the Day:
With December starting this weekend, I thought I would post this as an inspiration for you to follow with me!

I survived

Well I survived Thanksgiving.

I was a bit mad at myself because I forgot my salad and sweet potato to take to my uncles.

But I dealt with it and instead had a turkey drumstick, a very very small portion of mashed potatoes (Think less than an 1/8 of a cup), a 1/2 of a roll that Xavier didnt finish, a couple scallions and a 1/16 of each of the pies I made. Those were delicious though I was a little hurt that no one else besides my mom and my sister tried them.

Heaven forbid the pies werent laden with sugar!

Anyways...

I ended up LOSING .5 lbs that day.

Then Friday morning I got up and went north to stay with my sister. We went shopping for the Christmas deals and I got about 95% of my shopping done. I think all that is left is the homemade things that I need to do.

That afternoon for lunch we went to Hunans for some Chinese. I wanted hot hot hot General Tso's chicken and I didnt get it. The food was good but I was hoping the spice would help speed up the metabolism. Then for dinner I met my parents to go out with them for their neighbors birthday. I ended up having a salad, baked potato and some walleye and perch. Delicious though not the healthiest. Thats ok though.

That night when I went back to my sisters house we played Sequence and I had some spinach dip. Again not the healthiest but it was ok.

Saturday was my Christmas surprise from my husband. My sister and I shopped in the morning and then I had my surprise that afternoon to evening. More on that in a different post at a later time.

Then because I hadnt eaten in 9 hours and I was craving wings, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Yummy. And at that point I wasnt caring about healthy or not. I just wanted FOOD!

I had lots of left overs and brought them home with me yesterday morning which I finished off for lunch. Then we went to Aarons grandmas house for dinner last night where we had left over Thanksgiving dinner. I had a HUGE salad, some turkey, a smidge of sweet potatoes, a small spoonful of homemade mac and cheese and a deviled egg. I also had some wine.

Today I am up 4 lbs from last Friday morning but I know I am going to sweat a lot of it out tonight.

Tonight is legs with Eric and I will be doing a 5k run before that. I want to keep running this week because I have the Holiday Hustle 5k this Saturday that runs thru our neighborhood.

Also back on track with my eating today and logging it into my phone. This morning I had a spinach banana peanut butter smoothie. Sounds disgusting but because you cant taste the spinach, it was very good.

Different note:
I had a bone to pick with my husband yesterday. I made two pies for thanksgiving. Both clean. One apple and one pumpkin. Well I said earlier how no one ate them. I took two pieces of each north for my brother in law who had to work Thanksgiving. I got home yesterday and went to have one and they were GONE! Aaron had taken them to his grandmas house this weekend and they ate them all. Frankly I was quite pissed. I labored over those things and I was going to eat some more. And I was going to take a piece of each to Eric too because he eats clean. Thank goodness I have a lot of apples left over. I might end up making another one. Or I might cut them up and bake them so they turn into a crude apple sauce of sorts. Something. Not sure yet.

Tips of the day: (well recipes actually)

If you want the recipes for the different Clean pies I made, keep reading. I will provide the link for the crust.

Clean Eating Pumpkin Pie
(Makes 2 traditional sized pies) I halved the recipe to make one pie.
I used the pie crust recipe linked above

Ingredients
2 cups prepared pumpkin
1/2 cup honey
4 egg whites
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 cups fat-free milk (you can substitute unsweetened soy, almond or rice milk)

Directions
Step 1 – Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl, and mix thoroughly.
Step 2 – Pour mixture into pie crusts.
Step 3 – Bake at 425 degrees F. for 15 minutes.
Step 4 – Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F. and bake for 45 additional minutes.

Side Notes: This pie is not very sweet. If you prefer a sweeter pie, add an additional 1/4 cup of honey.
Eat and Enjoy!

Clean Eating Apple Pie
(Makes 1 [8 or 9 inch] pie)

Ingredients
1 batch of clean eating pie crust (You’ll need two crusts, top and bottom)
Apples, cut and seeded – Enough to fill the pie tin. (About 2-3 cups) I USED BRAEBURN, PINK LADY and GRANNY SMITH
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp. organic cornstarch or tapioca starch
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions
~ Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 1 – In a large mixing bowl, combine your apples, cinnamon, honey or agave, cornstarch and lemon juice. Stir well to coat the apples thoroughly.
Step 2 – Pour the apples into your pie crust (which should be IN the pie pan already… just sayin’…).
Step 3 – Top the pie with the second crust and pinch all around the edge to seal it.
Step 4 – Cut a vent in the top so steam can escape and transfer the entire pie to the oven.
Step 5 – Bake for approximately 1 hour. It’s done when the juices start to bubble up through the vents you cut in the top.
Eat and Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Yesterday I said what I am thankful for because I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to blog this morning. There are so many things it is hard to narrow it down to just a few.

First thing first...a recap of my night at the gym last night.

I got in 3.1 miles on the treadmill. It took me 36 minutes (with cool down) but I was able to bump my speed up to 5.5 mph and sometimes up to 6.0.

Then I worked out with Eric. We did a lot of triceps and chest work. He took it a little easy on me because he is feeling out what my shoulder can and cannot do still. We also did core. Mountainclimbers, burpees, inclined crunches using a weighted bar. Good times. I was able to burn 759 calories last night. Today my arms are sore, core not so much but it might get more sore after today.

I did take my Healthe Trim at 2pm yesterday before working out at the gym. Before I went to the gym I had 3/4 of a key lime pie Larabar. I had the other 1/4 once I was done at the gym.

And I forgot to take Cleanse last night but you can be sure that I am going to take it tonight after eating all day :)

One thing I noticed too is after getting home from the gym, I usually am STARVING and want to snack. Not last night. Maybe it was because of the Healthe Trim. It really does curb the appetite. I ended up having just a piece of string cheese and being completely fine with that. And it helped with me doing my nails to keep me busy too. But it was night number 1 with no snacking and no alcohol. I usually have a glass of wine in the evening but last night I just didnt want it.

Yesterday morning I weighed 181.5.

This morning I weighed 178.0.

You read that right. 4.5 lbs lost! Can I get a woo hoo!!

This morning I have been busy making Clean pies. I found a recipe on one of my favorite Clean Eating websites (www.thegraciouspantry.com) for pie crust and an apple pie. Well the crust recipe makes three crusts (two of which I used for the apple pie) and I had this spare crust sitting there and decided to see if she had a recipe for pumpkin pie. She did! And I had all the ingredients too SO I made one of those as well. Yummy!

Once the pies are done, I am going to go workout downstairs and do my Zumba Cardio Party. It is about 45 minutes. I just want to get the calories burning for the day so I can burn off my Thanksgiving dinner better.

Thats the big exciting news for now! Have a great day everyone! And a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Healthe Trim part 3 and Back to Basics

First, I have been noticing that I have been doing multiple posts lately. Sorry about that but I just had to share and couldnt wait!

Lookie Lookie what just showed up at my house!!

I got three bottles of the Trim and one bottle of the Cleanse.

Each bottle has 60 capsules in it.

Here are the directions for the Healthe Trim:

2 capsules upon waking with 16 oz of water

Get Max Results:
wait at least one hour before eating
for greater effect, take 1 or 2 more after lunch (I take 2)
Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily (64 oz)
limited consumption of caffeine and sweetened beverages
proper diet and exercise will provide the best results
visit our website for coaching tips HealtheTrimCoach.com

How it works:
Healthe Trim powered by Raspberry Ketone is the #1 natural weight loss supplement on the market today! Our new proprietary blend still gives you the three key components for achieving maximum weight loss: fat burning and boosting your metabolism, increased energy and appetite suppression. But now we have added 2 newbreakthrough ingredients, raspberry ketone known as the "miracle fat burner in a bottle" and saffron known as the "miracle appetite suppressant".

(This also has green tea extract in it which increases the rate of fat oxidation and burning fuels such as fat. Green tea causes carbohydrates to be released slowly).

Here is the Healthe Cleanse instructions:

Suggested use:
As a dietary supplement, adults take 2 capsules with 8oz water prior to bedtime or as directed by a health care professional. An additional 2 capsules may be added if a satisfactory result has not been achieved after 3 days. Do not take for more than 7 consecutive days. This product is not intended for regular use.

How it works:
Our Healthe Cleanse formula provides a synergistic combination of ingredients that help support normal, healthy bowel function, which in turn encourages the "regular" elimination of waste material without the use of harsh laxatives. By encouraging "regularity", this formula helps support overall health and wellness, which is often times related to normal, healthy gastrointestinal function.

Featured ingredients:
Cascara Sagrada- toning and strengthening normal bowel function
aloe vera leaf- soothing demulcent effect on GI tract
Flax seed- supports a healthy inflammatory response
marshmellow root- protects the mucous lining of the GI tract
peppermint- relaxes the smooth muscles of the intestines

I will be starting with the Healthe Trim after lunch and then the cleanse tonight.

Also, in my title I mentioned back to basics. Today I am starting to use my MyFitnessPal app on my phone again.I am also reverting back to the food that worked for me. For example, when I lost weight for lunch I would have an english muffin with almond butter, 2 hard boiled eggs and some greek yogert. Today because I had a protein shake for breakfast, I am not doing the hard boiled eggs but I still will be doing the english muffin with kreama peanut butter and greek yogert. I will also be having some celery.

I like this app because I can plan my meal out for the day and know where I am not just with calories, but fat, protein, sugar, carbs, etc.

For dinner, because I will be heading to the gym, I will be having a Larabar (key lime), then when I get home, a cheese stick and some more celery. I really dont get hungry once I am home from the gym. And the sugar from the Larabar helps get me thru the weight training.

So for the day, I will be over my fiber for the day by 3 grams (which is fine), over by sugars by 46 g (because of the Larabar so it is all natural sugar which I am ok with), and over with my protein by 13 g (because of the protein powder and peanut butter). I will be slightly under 1250 calories, under my fat g, under in my carbs and sodium. This leaves me a bit of leeway if I do want something special after the gym. Maybe more veggies...not sure. Cant be fruit because I am already way over my sugar allowance for the day.

I really think that using the app is going to help keep me accountable. I stopped recording everything because I was maintaining but now that just isnt flying anymore with the holidays coming up. Plus I have been noticing a lot of binging on my end and I need to put a stop to that. The Healthe Trim should help a lot with the cravings too which is good.

Ok you have heard the last of me today. I will report tomorrow how I am feeling from my training tonight and if I have lost anything on the Healthe Trim so far.

Have a great day (again)!

Thanksgiving plans

Happy Early Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope everyone has a blessed holiday and looks back at the year and can truly appreciate how far they have come and grown (or shrunk lol).

This year I look back and I am SO thankful we were not home for the tornado. I am SO thankful my children had minimal trauma. I am SO thankful for my in-laws who have let us stay in their house thru our bad times. I am SO thankful that we are starting over and are learning from the bad times I am thankful for our health. I am thankful for my kids and husband though they can be trying some days. These are just a few things I am thankful for.

Now to business. I got in my 45 minutes of zumba yesterday before my legs said enough! And as the day went on, the more sore I got. Ugh. Tonight is core, triceps and chest with Eric. Yippy skippy! And I can tell you that I was NEVER sore like this from P90X so my BET would be that I see good results from working with Eric. Not sure what I am going to do for warm up. My legs are still sore and I am not sure how much running I will be able to stand.

My plan is the next time they have a sale on the personal training (hopefully right after the new year) that I can get locked in on the lower rate again and continue on.

I weighed in today at 181.5. Last night I went a little off track and made some popcorn using coconut oil. I usually bloat after having popcorn. Not sure why but it is a fact of life. So I am not sweating it when it is a nice treat every once in a while.

Hopefully today my Healthe Trim comes- but if it doesnt, it wont ruin my Thanksgiving. Thanks for thinking of me Linda. See, I have a plan.

I PLAN on having some Turkey. I will be bringing a sweet potato for me (no candied kind for me thank you very much) and some corn. I will also be bringing raw veggies and I will eat as many of those as I want. I will also be making a clean apple pie to take with us. So it should be nice. The Healthe Trim would just be a nice buffer. :)

And I PLAN on working out and doing some Zumba tomorrow morning before we leave for the dinner. I am hoping to get an hour in. We will see how I am feeling. Always helps to get the burn started for the day. And our dinner isnt until 4 so we will basically need to eat and run to get the kids home at a decent time for bed. I think we will be going over to my aunt and uncles about 2:30-3ish and their house is about an hour away.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? What are you thankful for?

And here is some fun that I found yesterday while on Pinterest....Consider them my Tips of the day!

Healthe Trim part 2

So I wanted to give you all an update with the Healthe Trim.

I placed my order last Monday on 11/12 and I still have not received my order.

So today I called and honestly I was in a pissy mood because it has never taken me this long to get an order from them.

Apparently the new Raspberry Ketone blend is very popular and they are having problems keeping up with demand.

WELL let me tell you that this does not fly for me. I am a valued customer. I have done testimonials and interviews. AND THEIR salesperson called ME and swayed me to the Raspberry Ketone over the original blend. If they are running behind in production, why did he do that? Why did he tell me 5-7 days when they havent even sent it out yet?

SO...surprisingly they said they could send out my order today. This confused me slightly. Shouldnt my order already be processed then and on its way if they have product available to send out? Ugh. Ok...so I keep going with the poor customer service guy. I wanted my product overnighted. For cripes sake I have done a LOT for these guys. He was able to get me 2 day air but now I am not getting my product until Friday which is AFTER Thanksgiving and the reason I ordered it when I did. This made me even more mad. LOL. I finally got a free bottle of Cleanse out of them too but what I really wanted was another free bottle of Healthe Trim. I think that is only fair right? Maybe it is just me.

Either way, I went to their FB page and wrote them a long vent. Let them do with it what they will but they should not have their salespeople pushing a product that they cant keep up demand with...(wait did that just make sense?)

I have also let them know that I have bloggers waiting to hear a review. :)

I will let you know if I hear back from them. If not, I will press on with them. This will not be the last. All I ask is that they would have let me know when I originally placed the order that it was backordered. Then I wouldnt have been so pissed when it didnt show up day after day.

And as of right now I still stand by this product. I think the holiday times cause a higher demand which is fine but they need to let their customers know.

*****Edited*****
This is what I just received on the FB Healthe Trim page

"Hi Lee Ann, we are so sorry about the delay in your order. We were not expecting the overwhelming demand. I have just double checked and your order will be going out today and you will receive it tomorrow. We have sent it overnight. You are a great customer and we apologize for any inconvenience. Thanks"

Back at it! Second training session

This is a great picture! And YES I have pictures again!

K is letting us buy her netbook from her. She isnt using it and wants to get rid of it. :) So I have an official computer again.

Anyways...what I love about this is that it is what I am doing  2 weightlifting sessions a week.

Last night I did my legs.

We did squats, lunges with weight, quads, glutes, good mornings, deadlifts...and bottom squats. They were a big killer.

First thing first... I dead lifted 115 lbs! So proud of myself!

Second, if you want a GREAT leg exercise... stand in a wide leg out position. (Think wide wu chi) and position a dumbbell between your legs on end. Think of turning it on its side to form an "I". Do four bottom squats and on the fourth one pick up the weight and stand up completely. Then return the weight back down and do that for 6-8 reps. On the last one, stay down in a squat and hold with no weight for 30 seconds. Oh how my legs shook! We did that two times and upped the weight on the last one.

Today I am down to 180.0. Only a half pound loss but we worked the muscles hard.

And before that I did get in a 2.3mile run on the treadmill.

Today I need to drop Xavier to school. Mt. Laundry has been conquered so my plan is to come home and work on some zumba. Get the calorie burn going. I STILL have not received my Healthe Trim and it is KILLING me. I need to go back in my blogs to see what day I ordered it because if it isnt here today I am going to call and complain. They said 5-7 days and I am pretty sure it has been that.

Xavier then needs to get picked up at 11:40 and from there I will get the kids lunch and then to bed. AHHH peace and quiet for a couple hours. Tonight we are taking Xavier to a karate place in town to meet the sensei there. Xavier needs some discipline and I think it will be good for him. We  will see how it goes.

Tomorrow I am  with Eric again. We will be doing chest, triceps and core. Uh oh. I know I will be hurting for the rest of the weekend from core. LOL. All good though.

AND...I DIDNT tell you!

Aaron and my sister surprised me with an early Christmas present. Friday I will be going to Saginaw to shop with my sister. Then Saturday my husband set up to get my tattoo that I have been wanting!! How sweet! For those of you who dont remember...

It will be about this size and similar to this. The artist is going to do some different textures and a bit different design. He wants to make it his own but I really want it as close to this as possible. But he has done my sisters work and it is lovely so I trust him.

So I probably wont be blogging much after Thursday.

And as far as Thursday goes, my plan is to have some turkey, some corn and that is about it. That will be the only things that are clean enough for me to eat. OHHH but I forgot. I will be making a Clean Apple Pie to take with me so you can be sure I will be having some of that. I will let you know how it turns out.

Ok that is the news for now. Stay tuned for pictures and updates! Tonight I may do my last wrap too. Honestly I am trying to see if they work and if I should order more. We shall see!

Weekend recap

What a weekend!

Friday was INSANE!

Went to the hall at 10am and we set up for the reception until 7pm. Not kidding! Aaron did take the boys to rehearsal and I stayed behind to help finish setting up. Then I went to eat with Aarons parents.

Saturday was the wedding. We had to be there at 12:30 for picture with the wedding at 2:30 and I have to say I was a little pissed because they didnt have Xavier in a single picture before the wedding. So we sat for 2 hours trying to entertain kids in a church when we didnt have to.

The reception was at 5. I had a ton of salad, corn and some chicken for dinner. I had 3 ity bitty glasses of wine and I could definitely tell that I hadnt eaten much that day. Once dinner was done I was feeling better. I ended up having 4 rum and cokes the rest of the evening and some jello shots. Then my brother in law decided that we needed to pass out some vodka and cranberry shots. That did me in. I ended up making a fool of myself when I pulled out my chair to sit down and I sat down where the chair WAS.  My in laws took me home because Aaron had left earlier in the evening with the boys. I remember driving back and when we got to the house feeling sick, opening the car door and throwing up. After that I was in and out. Thank goodness I just made the biggest ass out of myself at home. LOL.

Sunday I literally slept ALL day. Aaron took the boys to the hall to undecorate everything. And while I was feeling fine, I was just exhausted. I got up in the morning and took a shower and had a couple chocolate chip cookies. Then I slept until evening. I got up about 7 and came downstairs and had some crackers and cheese ball that was left from the reception. Then I had a couple more chocolate chip cookies. That is all I had yesterday.

This morning I got up and weighed myself expecting to be heavier because of alcohol bloat. Surprisingly I weighed 180.5. A couple pound loss huh? Must have been I threw up everything I ate and drank Saturday then didnt eat Sunday.

Today Xavier has a half day. And I am working at conquering Mt. Laundry that has been piling up. Then tonight is training with Eric. Not sure how I will do there while I am still recovering. LOL. Pretty much back to normal but still taking it a bit easy on the food.

That is my day and my crazy weekend. Cant say I am too proud of myself Saturday but I still wasnt as bad as Aaron at his brothers wedding. But that is a story for a different day.

Checking in and First Training Session

Hi Everyone!

Well I made it thru my first training session with Eric.

Yesterday I started off by running 2.26 miles on the treadmill with paces anywhere from 4.0-5.5 mph.

Then I made sure to stretch my shoulder well before I started with Eric because we were going to test some limits on my shoulder.

We started off by doing an upright row then moved to a squat machine that uses plate weights.

Then we went back and forth between the two machines adding weight each time for a total of three turns per each machine.

Then we moved on. This time it was pull downs with a bar then we went to biceps. Alternate back and forth three times and adding weight each time.

Then we moved onto planks using a box with side rows using kettlebells. Followed by chin ups on a machine so I had some assistance. Back and forth three times. Whew.

Onward to abs.

We did reverse crunches on a bench where your lower half is on an incline and you bend down at the waist then come back up.

Then we did abs where I lift my legs up and down to form 90 degree angles....both of those back and forth three times.

Then we were done training for the evening.

Onward to RPM. It was the first time with doing this new release and boy am I glad that we didnt work the lower body last night. OMG. Words cant describe this workout.

I ended up burning 1408 calories the whole time at the gym. And this morning I lost 1 lb.

I also did a wrap last night but have not taken any more pictures from it to see if there is any improvement. I slept with it on all night long.

Today my shoulders, back and arms are sore. But not too sore. Definitely can tell I got a work out. And I LOVE that Eric pushes me. Says "I dont want to insult you by giving you too light of weight" LOL. I will definitely be continuing on with him when the gym has another special for a percentage off.

And I messaged him last night to say...

One thing I didnt tell you is that my goal is to be buff bordering on muscular. Not so much as weightlifter muscular like is that a man or a masculine girl but flat abs and awesome arms. LOL.

Onto today... Another full day.

Drop Xavier at school. Check on the dogs and let them out. Come home. Have breakfast. Get to the hall to set up for the wedding and I am not sure how long that will take. Come home. Have lunch. Landry down for nap. I STILL need to do laundry. Pick Xavier up from school. Take him for a haircut. Get home to get Aaron so we can go to rehearsal. Then rehearsal dinner. Wow. And I still need to work out somewhere in there. Maybe tonight.

Ok I am out of here. Probably wont be back until Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Busy Day!

I dont know if I will get a chance to post until Sunday so I wanted to fill you in on what is going on.

First yesterday.

I gained a half pound. And actually happy about that. LOL.I ate great all day until the pampered chef show last night. I had red wine, some artichoke, garlic dip (a non cheese kind), some salsa and home made pita chips, some baked brie and apple dip, and then they broke out the heavy hitters. A peanut butter cup trifle. TO. DIE. FOR. And a red velvet molten lava cake which was demo'd. And I may or may not HAPPENED to have two small helpings of the trifle. And the host gave me a serving of the lava cake. SEE??? So to only gain a half pound is a good thing.

Onto today.

First I take Xavier to school. Come back to K's house and let the dogs out while she is gone until tomorrow. Then run Landry to school. Come back here. Laundry. Get Landry. Go to Speech Therapy. Come home. Make Lunch. Landry to bed. Get Xavier. Go to mall to pick up Xaviers tux. Come home. Change. Go to K's house to let out dog and feed her. Go to the gym to run, workout with Eric and do RPM. Yup. My day. Ugh.

And tomorrow...

Drop off Xavier. Come let out dogs. Go to hall and help set up. Come home. Do lunch for Landry. Get Landry to bed. HOPEFULLY work out. Shower. Pick up Xavier from school. Go to rehearsal. Rehearsal dinner. And hopefully to bed at a decent time for the boys. If I dont work out during the day, I will be at night.

And I didnt get a chance to do the wrap last night so I am hoping to do it tonight after I get home and shower.

And I am still waiting for the Healthe Trim. I thought that maybe it would be here before the weekend even though they said 5-7 days. Usually it gets here pretty fast. Maybe it will come today. That would be good.

So I am off. I think I may need some coffee to get me thru today!

Have a great day all!

Positive Progress

Ok first...

I did pretty good yesterday.

A LaraBar for breakfast, Pump, celery, scallions, some hummus, and chicken breast for lunch, grapes for a snack, a big salad with some crumbled bacon, light blue cheese, scallions, tomatoes, slivered almonds for dinner. Evening snack was a glass of red wine and some trail mix and natural chips.

I didnt end up doing Zumba in the evening because I got a really bad headache again. I really need to get in to see my Doctor. At first I thought it was because I had the start of a sinus infection, but now I just dont know.

Anyways,  I lost 1 lb. Or maybe a half pound. Cant remember. Anyways I weighed 182.5 this morning. And a loss is a loss.

Today is the start of the rest of my slamming busy week.

I drop Xavier off this morning, stop at the auto parts store to pick up a new bulb for my blinker, come home with Landry, do my Zumba cardio party, run to Best Buy to pick up my dead computer and hard drive that had everything transferred to it, come home, get Landry lunch, get him to bed for a nap, finally take a breather (and a shower) and have some lunch for me, pick up Xavier from school, come home, get dinner around and then go to a fundraiser Pampered Chef Party. Then come home from that, and do one of my stomach wraps. :) And this is the lightest day out of my next few days!!

Dinner will be easy though. We still have a TON of salad so that is what I will be having. And I will be taking kilbosa out for the boys. Easy to grill and be done with.

TOMORROW is another insane day and I will fill you in on that then.

Have a great day everyone! Stay strong and exercise lots! LOL

Healthe Trim- my history and future

First I want to say that I am not getting paid for this post. I only want to share my pre-blog experience with you and fill you in on some things that have worked for me. As you know if you have been reading my posts, I have recently bought some Healthe Trim and I am waiting to get it in the mail.

I dont know if you have read my history and how I came to be what I am now. And my relationship with Healthe Trim.

If you have, then feel free to skip this post.

If not, then please read on.

Back in 2010 my sister was pregnant. I threw her a shower. And when I saw the pictures, I was devastated. "I" looked like the pregnant one. My weight had gone out of control. I was at my highest at 268 lb. I had had my youngest a year earlier and had taken no steps to lose the weight. (The shower picture is my "Before" on the right hand side.I see that I have the wrong year down on the picture. LOL)

I had always had problems with my weight. Eventually I just figured that this was how I was supposed to be. And frankly- I stopped caring.

Food became a comfort instead of a necessity.

After seeing the pictures from the shower, it was a huge wake up call.

A couple months previous to the shower and my epiphany, I had kept hearing all of these commercials on the local radio station for Healthe Trim. How the morning DJ that I listened to had lost all this weight on it. And most importantly, how it had a 30 day money back guarantee.

So I bought it.

It came with directions.

Take 1 pill in the morning. Wait 2-3 hours before eating.
Take another pill if desired in the afternoon at least 1 hour after consumming lunch.

Dont take the afternoon pill too late. It has caffeine and can keep you awake.

Dont have caffeine or artificial sweeteners with it. (Artificial sweeteners stop the appetite suppressant in the pills, and too much caffeine can cause shakes because there is already caffeine in the pills)

WEELLLLLLL...I am gonna be honest here. That is what this blog is all about afterall...right?

I started with one pill in the morning and another in the afternoon following the instructions on the bottle.

BUT I didnt stop the caffeine like soda or the artificial sweeteners.

And I didnt exercise.

And I didnt see any weight loss.

So I stopped the botttle about half way thru, put it up in my cupboard and continued on with life.

THEENNNNN the shower came along. And those horrible pictures were taken.

And I had a new awakening.

I pulled that bottle out.

I followed the directions.

I stopped the caffeine and artificial sweeteners.

I also stopped the alcohol with the exception of red wine.

I took two pills in the morning and two in the afternoon. I had built up a slight tolerance from using other diet pills in the past.

I started working out just a bit. I couldnt do much at 268 lbs remember.

I  started with the zumba dvd's I bought. Simple steps here or there. I remember HATING the cardio party dvd. It was SOOO hard. I could barely breathe with it. I mainly stuck with just 20 minutes of exercise in the beginning.

And I also started using MyFitnessPal app on my phone to help me track my food.

I know, I know. You are gonna say "well if you did all that, with or without the pills, you would have lost weight".

Do I think I could have lost the weight without Healthe Trim?

Yes.

Do I think I would have lost 100 lbs in 9 months without it?

No.

Do I think I would have been as successful with my weight loss as what I have been?

No.

Past diet history for me shows me losing the weight, getting comfortable and gaining it back. Or getting frustrated and giving up. Maybe it was coming off too slowly. Maybe it stopped coming off. Whatever the case, I always gained it back and usually plus some.

So do I believe in Healthe Trim?

You bet!

Would I recommend it?

YES!

BUT you HAVE to do what they say. There is a reason for the directions for it.

I believe in this product so much that I have met the founder Matthew Dwyer. I have done radio commercials. I am on their webpage under the testimonials (Lee Mitchell in Clawson, MI).

And I was not compensated for it.

And it is why I am turning back to Healthe Trim this time around. To help kick my butt back into gear. Help me put the past behind. The tornado weight behind. This is going to help me refocus.

And I cant wait to get it in the mail.

My hope is that the new formula with the Raspberry Ketones works just as well as the original blend.

BUT if it doesnt?

Dont forget about the 30 day money back guarantee! AND they have free coaching for ya too.

AND finally...it is all natura- both the original AND the Raspberry Ketone. Real Hoodia, green tea leaf extract, etc.

you can check out their website here. And of course- dont forget to check out my testimonal!

Have a great day!

Sticking with it

Yesterday took a bit of a turn but I was very proud with how I did.

I had my morning smoothie- bananas, spinach and water. I left out the peanut butter because I really wanted the peanut butter in an apple with lunch.

While Landry was having lunch I went downstairs and did my 45 minute cardio party. And for once I didnt turn on my heart rate monitor and watch it so closely.

For lunch I had two scallions, 4 stalks of celery, a small piece of chicken breast and an apple with peanut butter inside.

Then Aaron messaged me and told me that his mom and grandma were coming over for dinner. I remembered after that that him mom said said that she was coming over on Monday but I had forgotten. So I was worrying what to take out for dinner. BUT no worries. His mom and grandma brought dinner. Hamburgers, hot dogs, lasagna, salad, fruit, bacon...the works. And I had salad. No burger, no hot dogs. I stayed strong. So I had a big salad, a bit of crumbled bacon for protein, light blue cheese dressing, some reduced fat wheat thins and some jalepeno cheese from a cheese tray that was brought also. Later that evening I had two small glasses of red wine and some trail mix with pumpkin seeds, m&m's, raisins, almonds and peanuts.

Today I weight -2.5 lbs less than yesterday. Good start!

This morning I have already dropped the kids at school. I had half of a Lara Bar for breakfast and after dropping Landry off, I flew to the gym to make Body Pump class. I just finished up there and got back to the house for a few minutes before needing to get Landry from school. On the way home I ate the other half of the Lara Bar.

Tonight we will have left overs for dinner. There is a ton of salad in there that is calling my name. I cant wait. I also want to get some Zumba in tonight. Pump is great for muscle tone but not really for getting the heart rate up and burning calories. I only burned 298 calories in class. SO I want to get some cardio in tonight.

That is the news for now. I cant wait to get my Healthe Trim and fill you all in on how it is working. ALSO I still have 2 It Works body wraps left over. I think I may do one tomorrow night so I am ready for the wedding on Saturday. We shall see.

Have a great day!!

Raspberry Ketones

I just placed my order for Healthe Trim. I got a great deal with buy 2, get one free, free shipping AND 30 day money back guarantee. The guarantee is for everyone who places an order. I have had friends that it just didnt work for and they returned it and got their money back. The best thing though? Free coaching. If you find that it isnt working for you, you can call and talk to a coach for free. They can go over what you are eating, and give you some great tips to help you be successful.

The cool new thing that they have and I am trying is their Raspberry Ketone formula. It has all the same great things that the original had BUT it has raspberry ketones in it.

What is raspberry ketones?

Dr. Oz explains it:

I should be getting this in about 5 days. And I will definitely be reviewing it. I have some hesitations with the new one.

1. The original healthy trim worked SO well, of course I am nervous to switch

2. BUT would the original work as well as the first time? Or will I have built up an immunity type response?

So stay tuned. I will be using the same dosage as what I did before. 4 pills. 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon. They told me that I dont have to stay away from caffeine, but they dont want me to have caffeine overload. Before when I didnt cut out the caffeine, the pills didnt work. So to be on the safe side, I will cut it out this time as well. They did caution and say to MAKE SURE I cut out the artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners negate the appetite suppressant that is in these pills and so you are more than likely to binge. No problem. I dont drink soda much and I dont eat much processed foods.

I usually dont post twice in one day but I am just so excited about getting these that I had to share!!

A new week

I am back on a computer! Well actually, K rescued me again and is letting me use one of her netbooks that isnt currently being used. Very handy and small. I am still getting used to the small keyboard after having a very large computer, but I like the convenience of this.

BUT I am not going to be putting pictures in my blog until I can get my portable hard drive back from Best Buy. I took my old computer there yesterday to have all my important pictures and documents transferred to the portable. They also said they think it is my motherboard. And of course to fix that would cost as much as a new netbook.

So we shall see what we are going to do.

Anyways.

This weekend was not a good weekend food wise for me.

Friday night after Zumba I picked up sushi for Aaron and I for dinner. It was really yummy and not a bad food choice...well not a horrible food choice.

Saturday Aaron and I had date day. First was grinders from Giaradanos. I ate half of mine. Then we went and saw Bond. Awesome movie. My favorite Bond by far. But I had popcorn and soda. Then I went to a cocktail party at K's house and had lots to drink as well as not so healthy food. LOL. Sausage, bread, cheese, chicken wreath (that I made), brownies with ganache, chocolate covered pretzels, donuts. Yummy, not good for me food.

Then yesterday I had the other part of the grinder sandwich for lunch and then a burger from Bagger Daves. Ugh. Not good food choices but this week I start training with Eric and it is all seriousness from here on out. Consider this my last hurrah.

And this week will be a very busy week. We have conferences for Xavier tonight, a Pampered Chef Party on Wed, Thurs I need to pick up Xaviers tux, Friday we have to set up a hall for a wedding reception and have rehearsal and dinner. Saturday is the wedding. Whew. I am exhausted already. But it will be good. All that and working out as well!!

Thursday is my first day with Eric. It was originally going to be Wed, but I forgot about the Pampered Chef thing. It is a fundraiser and it is my friend that is the consultant so I need to go.

So as far as my plan of action:

Today for breakfast I will have a smoothie. For lunch an apple with Peanut Butter and some celery and scallions. I have had a celery problem lately. I literally go thru a pack a week when I eat about 3 stalks a day. LOL. I will be going back to the mostly fruits and veggies with the exception of a bit of protein here or there. I got too far away from that and it was a slippery slope. For dinner will be a salad with some chicken breast and almond slivers.

Exercise will be Zumba while Landry is napping.

Tomorrow I am hoping to make a run to Powerhouse Gym while Landry is in school. They have Pump at 9am but I wont be getting there until then. So if the class still has room, I will jump in. Otherwise I will just run on the treadmill. Meals will be very similar to today with the exception of my smoothie. I will probably put some of my protein powder in it. Then I will probably do some Zumba tomorrow night. I want to keep working on my different songs.

Wednesday will be Zumba during the day while Landry naps.

Thursday will be my first work out with Eric and then RPM. My warm up before Eric will also include running. Normally Thursdays will be running, then Pump with LIGHT weight then RPM. Back in the saddle!

Friday will be Zumba during the day because of rehearsal that night. I am hoping to be able to fit it in between setting up for the reception and rehearsal. Either way, it will be a very active day with the set up.

Saturday is the wedding so LOTS and LOTS of dancing.

My main goal is to swear off the alcohol with the exception of red wine. Whipped cream vodka has been a downfall for me because it is great with everything. Plus now that I can get my Fat Tire beer in Michigan, it has been bad too. Too many empty calories is causing MAJOR weight fluctuation in one weekend.

Also I am planning on ordering more healthe trim today. It is what helped me lose my big initial weight and I am hoping it will help keep me on track again. With it I cant have caffeine (so caffeine free tea for me) or artificial sweeteners. Plus I swore off alcohol with the exception of red wine. So I can do this again. I know I can. I just need to get out of this mindset. Ever since the tornado I have been compensating with food and not following my strict diet. Time to stop. Now.

I am recommitted to myself. Time to start the new year early.

Have a great Monday everyone!!

A New Chapter

Hi everyone. As you can tell from the lack of pictures that I normally have, I am still typing from a tablet.

But anyways...

I am back on track. About Halloween time I developed a bad attitude and even though I was doing my Zumba religiously, I was not watching what I put into my body. Lots of snacking- especially in the evenings, junk food like chips, cookies, cider, pizza, and lots of alcohol. I had wine and punch leftover from the party and I was drinking that everynight. Oh and jello shots and pudding shots lol.

BUT...

I have taken back contol. Last week my weight went all the way back up to 183 lbs! Now I am back on track and back down to 177.5.

Yesterday I went to the gym and ran 2 miles. And while I only ran at 5.0 mph, it still felt great. I dont remember the last time I ran. Then I hit the upper level for some floor space so I could practice Zumba. From there I went to Body Pump claass and about died. lol. I can tell it had been a while. Then I did RPM and I could tell it had been a while since I had that class too. BUT I did it all and burned 1475 calories in the process.

And the most exciting part? The next chapter? While I was at the gym I finished paying on my personal training package. Which means that come next Wed, I will be training with Eric and he promises to get me results. As of right now, I have 19 sessions with him. We will be meeting twice a week on Mon and Wed then Thurs I will do Pump but with light weight and RPM. Eric wnts my days with him to be the heavy weight days. Fridays will be my normal Zumba night. I am hoping this gives me the big boost I need.

As I said, I have 19 times so we will be able to work together until at least part way thru Jan. I will be sure to take before and after pictures.

I guess that is the news for now. No girl night tonight and tomorrow night is a cocktail party at K's house. I still need to figure out what to make for it.

super fast

hey everyone. just a quick update. my computer took a dive so i am doing this hunt and peck mode from a tablet. this past week was flat out yucky. a bit of depression and f-it attitude caused my weight to go up. but i am on the rebound. today i have already done zumba sculpt and tone and burned 416 calories. tonight will be two more hours- i am also getting ready to start working out with my personal trainer. just need to pay the remainder and figure out our schedule. my hope will be mon, wed with eric, thurs pump and rpm and friday zumba.

hopefully we can get the computer figured out soon. this stinks. lol.

have a great day everyone. not sure how often i will be on here until the computer is fixed.

checking in!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I am alive and kicking. I am struggling with snacking and eating my pudding shots that I have left over..hahaha. BUT I am still working out.

Tonight I have Zumba class then off to Aubreys for gals night.

TOMORROW I am very excited to go to a Master Class for Zumba. It is a 1.5 hour class with a big time instructor. I am way, way, way excited! I will let you know how it goes.

Last night I cracked it and in 1:49, I burned 1076 doing Zumba! High cardio for sure! I just love it. And if you havent guessed, I have been giving it 100% as if I was teaching a class and not just going thru the motions. Thats for sure.

Thats about the news for now. I hope you all survived Halloween and havent been eating your kids stashes. We actually ran out of candy after 1.5 hours!! K stopped counting after just one hour in and she was already at 300 kids. I just cant go broke buying candy. One of my other friends sent her husband out on a candy run because they had run out...twice. And that is only giving 1 piece per kid. Yup. They bus them in here. Literally. I think at one point, there were two hay rides going!!

Tip of the Day:
